IS ACIMIT
ACIMIT (Italian Association
of Textile Machinery Producers) nowadays gathers
more than 250 Italian textile machinery and accessory
companies, whose production represents 85% of the
entire Italian textile machinery production, and
16 associated members (consortia, technical schools,
technical magazines, engineerings, research centres).The
Association (a private non-profit making body) main
purpose consists in promoting the Italian textile
machinery sector and in supporting its activity,
mainly abroad, through the most up-to-date and innovative
promotional means, constantly improved during its
55 years of life.
In order to promote the Italian textile machinery
knowledge throughout the world, ACIMIT gives any
kind of information on the activity of the producers
and organizes a wide range of promotional activities
(such as exhibitions, technical seminars, missions
in Italy and abroad, etc.) most of times in collaboration
with ICE (Italian Trade Commission).
Another ACIMIT major aim consists in informing its
member companies about commercial, financial and
technical problems which can be found in the different
markets in order to ease their entry.Along with
these activities, ACIMIT has felt the need to establish
a further range of initiatives concerning economic
problems, technical training, dialogue with the
textile interface, which can be more adequately
carried out by a Foundation.
From this, the set up of ÒFondazione ACIMITÓ
is occured in 1997.
Among the most relevant activities carried out by
the Foundation, the are the publication of a series
of textile schools supports for Italian and foreign
students (also on CDRom) and the realization of
some economic studies concerning our sector. In order
to further improve the relationships with its members,
ACIMIT has recently decided to set up a sister company
named ACIMIT SERVIZI.
The main task of this company is to offer a series
of services in order to promote and organize textile
machinery exhibitions in Italy and abroad and to
support Italian textile machinery companies in their
partecipations to these events. |
